
The legendary sire. He was the making of our herd, and became the dominant sire of his generation. His daughters form the basis of the Dyfri herd today, and we still use him on any female that doesn’t carry his blood.
For such a muscular bull he proved to be a very easy calving sire. He had 2 copies of the F94L gene

Jockey was the first bull in the UK to sire a record 10 bulls to sell in excess of £10,000.
Females
His females have been outstanding, and have bred well when mated to most of the popular bulls of the past decade, particularly Sympa, Wilodge Vantastic, Wilodge Cerberus and Plumtree Deus.
The few females that came onto the market were led by the 15,000gns Dyfri Treasure which was sold to top the 1st Dyfri Sale in 2010 to Messrs Griffiths’ Deri Herd.
Semen has been exported to many countries, including Ireland, Australia and New Zealand. He tops the ICBF rankings in Ireland with a 5 star ranking for Terminal and Replacement traits.
